It is a routine practice at this surgery that all instruments used during any procedure are either single use disposable instruments or autoclaved on site.

Facial wrinkles and lines are a normal result of ageing, particularly in our sunny climate. Effects of ageing and sun damage on our skin can’t be reversed but the visible effects can be reduced, whether temporarily with cosmetic rejuvenation techniques or more permanently with cosmetic surgery.

Cosmetic rejuvenation can be very effective at treating the effects of the sun and ageing. Procedures offered by Dr Buckland include
Anti-wrinkle injections - there are several types, some cause relaxation of the wrinkle-causing muscles, particularly effective on frown lines and crows feet around the eyes. Others work by filling in wrinkles such as the lines from the nose to the corners of the mouth. These are simple, non-surgical procedures and can last for up to 6 months. The effects are temporary but can be repeated if you like the effect.
Intense Pulsed Light (IPLTM), can treat conditions like pigmentation, sunspots, freckles, birthmarks, spider veins, rosacea, tattoos, superficial skin lesions and others.
IPLTM Photofacial skin care programme- again using Intense Pulsed Light and a series of scientifically tested skin creams on the face. This programme can reduce the appearance of broken capillaries and sun discolouration giving skin a tighter, younger and more even-toned look. Unlike other resurfacing techniques the treatment is minimally painful and there is little or no recovery time.

For a more permanent effect, some people choose to have cosmetic surgery. Procedures offered by Dr Buckland include
Face/neck lift
Browlift
Eyelid surgery
Nose surgery
Dermabrasion
